To upgrade its supply chain network in New South Wales, Woolworths has received the green light to begin construction on a $400 million multi-story distribution centre in Wetherill Park.
This upgrade to the supply chain network comes with the increasing pressure that the pandemic has placed on the supermarket giant's ability to deliver fresh produce directly to homes.
The facility will distribute both fresh and chilled products, removing over 11,000 truck movements from Sydney roads EACH YEAR.
The site will also support over 700 jobs and a further 500 jobs during its construction phase.
